But the doctor did not find any tumor, instead it was a worm feeding off on her brain cells!
This condition is called as neurocysticercosis which is a common parasitic disease of central nervous system. Varied clinical manifestations occur, due to deposition of larvae of the parasitic worm that is found in cerebral parenchyma, meninges, spinal cord, muscles, eyes and skin. Eggs of these parasitic worms are everywhere, in the bathrooms, soil and even in food like raw pork. Many people have been diagnosed to have this disease already.
The precautions to prevent these worms enter your system by washing your hands thoroughly with soap when eating and ensuring about the food you have. The doctors have also revealed that while going outdoors we should make sure to have an alcohol handy, as it will not have these parasites eating off part of your brain.
