A child whose mental ability is higher than the rest of them who are of same age is called as Precocious.
This means that the child is one step ahead amongst the same aged children. His or her mental status is advanced for his or her age. Which means that they have reached their puberty stage much in advance, the cause for this would be exposure to estrogen in drugs or in food.
Some of the symptoms of the onset of precocious puberty are the development of secondary sex characteristics.
In girls the precocious puberty may result in breast development, pubic or underarm hair development, onset of menstruation, acne, body odor, moody and irritable behavior, which may occur before the age of 7.
In boys the signs of precocious puberty include signs such as pubic, underarm, or facial hair development, deepening voice, acne, body odor, aggressiveness, inappropriate sex drive before the age of 9.
